Deep in the night, when everyone's asleep
there are some people who secretly weep
a few of us who wake up to stand in prayer
in this life on earth recognized as a stranger
Deep in the night, while the stars brightly shine
and it's our bed that most of us cannot decline
while few of us're striving by making a lot of du3a
deep in the night waking up for the sake of Allaah
Deep in the night, when darkness is spreading
it's the bedroom where most of us are heading
while few of us ignore sleep and pray Tahajjud
submitting to Allaah while performing Sujood
